Events/Workshops

These are my favorite types of events!! Singles getting together
to discuss and get feedback from other singles and the opposite sex.
Hear insight from other Manhattan daters, get some tips on how to work
through certain challenges and, best of all, meet new people. There’s an
outline of topics I like to discuss.(See below.) But everyone gets to
share what their particular confusion or question is and we then discuss
it in an open forum

Have you dated one of these women:

The “Girl’s Gotta Eat!” Gal? You take her out, always pay the tab, but things never progress past two or three dates. She doesn’t let things become physical, citing her unsuredness on how she feels and her “need to feel comfortable.”

The Hoop Jumper? After only one or two dates she wants more
“phone time.” She doesn’t like “dating via text.” You call her or
contact her and she waits a day or so to respond. She wants you to prove
to her that you’re available, but she remains steadfastly unavailable
herself, unwilling to make much effort.

The OverSharer? She loves to Tweet, Facebook and Blog. Which
means your private conversations and interactions might end up become
public fodder to feed her bottomless need for attention and validation.

The Barterer? She won’t let things get physically intimate
until you and she are exclusive. She says she needs to build trust and
comfort, and the only way she can do that is to know that you and she
are an exclusive couple.

The Broken Mirror? – She believesd
she deserves a man of a certain caliber based on what she believes she
brings to the table. Only her perceptions of who she is and what she has
to offer are not reality.

The Emotional Wall?
She’s afraid to be hurt and is hesitant to let her guard down. She’s
been hurt in the past and she’s afraid to open up. She’s not very warm
and doesn’t make herself vulnerable.

These are the women
we’ll be discussing tonight, along with how to spot them, how to avoid
them and how to find someone healthy, loving and available.

REVIEWS FROM PREVIOUS WORKSHOPS:

“Not sure you get to read these. Well, if you do, Thanks for
giving me the confidence to get back out there. After being married for
many years, it was strange to get out and attempt to meet someone. I
attended your dating group Q&A about reading signs etc and right
after the meeting had dinner with someone from the group. After that I
had the confidence to follow through with some other women. It has
resulted in being with my girlfriend for over 3 years now. We have a
great relationship. Thanks for helping me bring out the best in me. – C
